Fish on a stick

We'll I finally found the fish on the stick.  It's one of the 101 things to do in Kamloops.  ( I may have to try another photo when it isn't trying to rain)   It's at the tourist information centre and I found out where the hoodoo's of Kamloops are too.  (have to do that one weekend)    It was ever so exciting that Owen fell asleep while trying to lick his lolli.

Exploring for Photo Places

I was reading some photo challenges online to get some ideas.  Since family doesn't want anything to do with me anymore.   So one suggestion was to go around and take photos of different letters to spell your name.   So Owen and I headed out exploring downtown Kamloops.  It was a lot of fun and I found things you just don't notice while driving.   There is a mexican restaurant I want to go to for my birthday and it boosts 12 different tequilas.   I saw odd sites,  great places to take photos, visited the Museum which I'll have to go back to with the girls.   We had to stop at McD's to keep Owen content.  Hot Cakes!!!   Then off to Riverside park where there is so many more great places to take photos if I can bribe the girls to come back with me it would be awesome.  It was a very good zen day. Helped heaps that it was 10 degrees outside and sunny.

Big White Ski Resort

We drove to Big White near Kelowna to visit with friends from Cobar and have a visit with all the kids.   Plus it was Hannah and Elizabeth's 6th birthday's so we celebrated that as well.    We all had a great visit.   Beautiful and after how warm and no snow in Kamloops this was a nice change.  Do you think Owen's ready for a skidoo?

What you think

Not feeling the love of life today.   I read somewhere you should go around your house and take pictures of things that make you smile.   Well I don't have any spots in this house that make me smile.    I don't like this house because it is just temporary and we haven't made it home.    So besides the humans in this house that make me smile,  I'm in a funk.   The sun isn't out.   Change is brewing in about 2 weeks then hopefully I will get recharged to the happiness again.

Dress Ups

Owen and I went to a thrift shop today.   Needed some cupcake pans for Hannah's birthday coming up.   She gets to have a birthday at school.   So wants to take cupcakes to school, and....... all our pans are still in storage.    So off to the thrift store.    Yeah $1 muffin tins!!!   Owen was looking through the toys and I found a huge dress up bin.   We got some cowboy pants,  doctor's pants,  as well as this awesome wig.    So we had some fun with the wig and the camera.  And like usual no one will let me take photos but Owen.

Harper Mountain Tubing

So Tubing down Harper Mountain.   No photos of the actual run as kids flying down at the speed of sound turned out very blurry.  (I'm not a sports photographer...... one thing at a time!)

A day

I'm not going to put up photos from Christmas too many and too long ago.   Did take this near my brothers farm.   The farm I grew up at.   We don't have cattle anymore so I used the neighbours farm for the shot instead of my brothers.   Owen is sick (high fever) so I am just going through photos and thought to put this up.   When I thought of home while in Australia this was what I was missing.

Ducks, snowmen and failed photoshots......

Ciara doesn't like me to take photos of her.   Well none of them do.   I really need some other kids to borrow to satisfy my need for practice.

Owen and I were out scouting out new spots to take photos and explore.   Spotted these ducks at Riverside part in Kamloops.   Aren't ducks suppose to fly south?   Well I guess with getting fed and open water they still hang around here in warmer BC.

Went to take the garbage to the bin in the complex.    Someone has made a snowman and put it on top of the bin.   Made me smile.   I little reminder of youth on top of an adult daily job.   Well time for the afternoon nap of Owen and then to the school to try on skates for next weeks skating fitness class.

Back to school and snow, snow, snow...

Back to school after a lovely holiday with family.    We woke to a big snow storm.   Perfect packing snow.   So when Owen and I arrived to pick up the girls from school at the end of the day.    Snowmen were everywhere to be found on the grounds of the school.   Owen let me take a few photos before he gave me a look that said let me eat snow and push snowmen in peace.
