Celebrate

Happy New Years to all family and friends that the New Year has hit and to all family and friends enjoying the celebrating tonight have a good night.      We are off to friends to bring in the New Year.   So I will leave you with a photo of the cousins celebrating Christmas activities together.    This photo just makes me smile every time I look at it.

Hair Cuts

My little fashion models.   Strike a pose.   They were getting tired of tangled hair and crying hair brushing mornings.   So off they went with new hairstyles cut out of magazines.   Now I want mine cut like this!!!

Cousins and Pizza = Content

So this Christmas the adults gave themselves a present of a dinner out without kids.   We hired a babysitter, ordered pizza and then bolted out the door for 4 hours without our little bundles of energy. 

Sad Snowman

This snowman was looking rather sad as all the snow had melted.   He was just a small lump of snow.   But it has snowed today so maybe he will come alive again. 

Finished Tree

All finished.   I'm not taking it down for a while.   I'll tidy up other things first.

Blue Skies

It is a mild day here in Kamloops with blue skies.    This above photo isn't the blue skies out today as I have to wait to download photos when I have more room in my photo library.    These are the blue skies of Guelph when I was home about a month ago.   Enjoy your blue skied day if you have one.  We have been tubing  down Harper Mountain great fun and the kids are quiet now from all the fresh air.

Sledding

Okay I've run out of room on our photo storage.   So might not be all that up to date after today.   Sorry no tree shot but hopefully I can get it in so it's not to late when you get to see it.    We went sledding the other day and the kids had such a good time.  It was the first time at this hill and  it has that surprise of once you get down the one hill and are going fast enough then there is one last steep little  hill!!!  FUN!!

Cookies

 Cookie time has just started.  We are currently on a gingerbread making process.   So that my niece can make a gingerbread house and gingerbread men when she gets here in a few hours!!!!!!

We are so excited for tomorrow as company arrives and Christmas is only 5 sleeps away!!!   So when passing us by just ignore us we are just a bit silly!!!

Christmas Lights at the Wildlife Park

We went to the Wildlife Park for Eric's Kids Christmas Party.    Little bit chilly though lots of eye candy for the eyes.   Took me a while to get a photo that wasn't blurred with movement.   But I got it!

Water Droplets

These were on the tree outside our windows last weekend.  It was rather damp last weekend.  Very cool to look at.

Stage One

Well we got the tree in the house and I only let them put up the lights.    The rest will be decorated on Tuesday when we get visitors!!!!     And don't worry by little niece everyone chickened out trying to get the star on the top so Uncle Eric put it up so that there wouldn't be any tears!!!     Get your arm muscles ready there is a lot more decorating to do.

Santa Stalker

He just loves Santa.   Owen's preschool group had Santa come visit.  Well Owen just kept running up to him and hugging him and sitting on his lap.  At one point I think Owen was in quite a few photos with other kids because he wouldn't get off.   Hum a Ho Ho Stalker!!!

Do you think this is big enough?

As Eric left to go tree hunting I said big tree (in my sickness induced mumble)  and this is what he brought home.   I meant tall like 8ft.   Not 16ft!!!!   I wonder what the newspaper person thought this morning as they dropped off the paper.    For that matter I wonder what the whole neighbour thinks as they drive by today.   Eric plans on a Canadian Tire run after work to find the perfect stand.    All I can say is my niece has got a lot of work to do with her cousins when she comes!!!!

Bullrushes in Ontario

  

So was suppose to go Xmas tree hunting today with the family.   But I have come down with the bug that all the rest of my little ones had.   So here is a photo of a bullrush that was at my parent place in Ontario to make me feel a little better for not taking photos of some interesting mist.

Stellar Jay

This is a Stellar Jay we didn't have them in Ontario.   It got in on the action with the squirrel.    The squirrel scared him away quite often.   

Playing with my zoom

I had put some seed out while the kids were sick.   I noticed some activity and decided to find my old Sigma Zoom lens and see if I could get some shots.   Well should have had it on a tripod.    Little bit of hand shake.   But my brain was too busy dealing with puke and other things to remember to go up and get the tripod.   Next time.   This squirrel was pretty cheeky.   He was chasing all the birds away. 

Gastro still.......

(I didn't take this photo)   I have no energy to do any photo taking at the moment.    Nor any models that are well enough.   (So sorry mom your calendar is on a stand still- here's hoping I can get it in the mail for you to open on Xmas)    So both girls are down with gastro.   It has been a long night and looking at a long day.     So I was looking at images on line and this funny egg spoke to me.

Ontario Barns

I have a thing for barns and late afternoon light and running across my parents fields with rubber boots on trying to get photos.    I must have been a bit of gossip for my parents neighbours!!!

I haven't felt like this in 9 years!!!

You know that feeling after you have your first born and you are up every hour on the hour for days!!!   Well Owen had a bad case of the flu last night and every hour on the hour was revisited.      Now I am patiently waiting for him to want to have a nap.  That rule of waiting 4 hours of them being up before they go down again probably doesn't work for a 3 year old that doesn't nap normally.      That 4 hour rule only works for under 1's!!   Though he is yawning lots beside me and now has cuddled his head into my shoulder.   Here's hoping because the bed is sounding really nice right about now.  

Surprise Visits

This is the view from the Calgary Airport.   Pretty nice.   We all went awe  (well the kids and I)  as we walked down the long long glass walkway to the next flight.    We went to Guelph for a week and surprised the grandparents, got some things accomplished,  as well as having a surprise Christmas nibble feast for my mom's side of the family.   All in all a great week!   Now back to regular day to day things.  Firstly groceries.
