Photos on a Sunny Evening

There hasn't been a sunny evening for a few days now.    Overcast and raining.   It is good though we do need it and it makes everything ever so green.    But I am itching to get out there at 5pm and take photos.   Instead I'm working on websites and photoshop to change how I'm doing some things.     Have a good weekend everyone.  

Seriously this kid.......

can sleep anywhere!!!!    The rain has snapped the energy out of him yesterday.   Today there is still lots of overcast clouds but the sun is sneaking through some patches so we have gotten out and walked around while waiting for the truck tires to be changed.  (yes I know I'm still driving around in winter tires!!!)    I wonder if he'll fall asleep in weird positions again today?

Attention please

which isn't going to happen.   Finally back to normal.   Washing in the machine,   floors getting cleaned,   photos being labeled to go on the website.    Lists made and some things crossed off.    So poor little soul isn't going to get much attention today.    The worst part is it is raining so I can't kick him outside as he doesn't last long. 

North Caribou Offroad Adventures Society May Long Weekend in Quesnel

We started our May Long Weekend Offroad Weekend by heading into the trail and coming across a very stuck fellow offroader.    Eric helped them get out.   And we continued on our way.

We made it into camp and set up.  It was a gorgeous first night and except for some rain Sunday morning and cooler weather it was nice and sunny the whole weekend.   The offroading really started on Saturday though.   With a poker run and some getting stuck and unstuck fun.

The kids watched on when not eating huge amounts of chips and gourpe.

Last Weekends adventure

So we have had Eric's mom in for 9 days.   Last weekend we took her on a little adventure to see more of BC.   Eric had to go get some parts in Chilliwack so off we went.  (sorry to the Chilliwack relatives we didn't have time to stop and visit)   Our first stop was to get the truck some new side bars.   So a few games of screw your neighbour were played,  some walking around taking photos while following Owen were done to pass the time.   Then we were off to lunch and a stop at Othello Tunnels.   The Kettle Valley Railway built from 1910 to 1915.    Unfortunately when we got there the tunnels were closed for repairs!!!!  

And of course no trip with just the mother in law is complete without a tire being jacked up and some repair being done.   At least this time it wasn't red dirt, prickles, snakes,  and hot Australia weather to deal with.  
 

My late afternoons

are kind of nice sometimes.    The company is great as well.

Steady

Have lots of photos to put on the blog and on my website but I haven't gone through them all.   By the time my day stops and I have a moment to get on the computer to work on the photos I'm ready for bed and it's only 8pm!!!!   They are off the camera at least.    Until I can put photos of the adventuring on the blog and website, here's a taste of the steady activity of game playing that has been happening since grandma arrived last Tuesday.   Chess,  Uno,  Skipboo, Candyland,  Clue,  Kings in the corner,  and Screw your neighbour.    (the last being the favourite don't know if that's just because of the name - I have a vague memory of playing this with my Great Uncle Gilbert and I think we liked playing it just to hear his voice of excitement) 
Have a great rest of the week everyone.   I have hit the wall after a long rainy field trip to Isobel Lake, followed by photo taking at a farm.  Tomorrow isn't going to get better Track and Field day at school all day followed by entertaining hubbies colleagues.    Then Grandma and I still have to plant some plants and tomatoes around the house.   I wish I could say the weekend is going to be calm but no adventuring around BC is in the works.

Have been very busy running around taking photos,    getting garden beds pruned with some great experienced mother in law help.   Since I don't know what half the stuff is in my beds.     Wish I could just flop and let my toes rest.

Wonderful Mess

Light Painting

All I wanted for Mother's Day was a night to myself to go on a workshop lead by www.naturalwonders.ca
Though I woke up this morning with lots of extra surprises from the munchkins.   They have been hard at work creating during school this past week.
Well last night at 7:30pm I took of for 4 wonderful hours of practicing light painting in the dark.   We climbed up to an incredible spot and only realized after it got very dark that this was going to be a more interesting trip back down!!!
Not totally in love with my photos (this was just the first time trying out new techniques)  but so want to practice this again.   I even was dreaming of things I wanted to set up and try some night.  Well here's a taste.

I finally got him.    This bird has been so hard to get a photo of.   Even with seed put out.    But I finally he allowed me the honour.   It's been an interesting week.    Manure spreading,  mares and foals,   cold days and warm days,   not a lot of planting going on right now since the weather isn't smarten up.    I have a feeling next week will be hoping.     Not just with the million field trips the kids have as well!!!

Most mornings

Most mornings one of the kids is on this chair eating cereal and watching abc kids in the morning.   Sorry I'm on a black and white kick but the kids wild clothing have been clashing with the scene.
