Mommy take a picture of me please

Oh how could I say no!!!   He doesn't ask very often.  He is more likely an unwilling model because he's the only one around.

Cherries

Oh can I tell you how hard it is to be in a cherry orchard and not want to stuff your face full of red beautiful looking cherries until you can move!!!!    But I fought off temptation!!!   Now I just look at all the photos of cherries and they begin to blur into one big mess and I can't tell which is the best shot because they all look so good I could eat the screen.  Ugh!!!

Family Photo

I don't get in many photos as I'm the one with the camera.    I did get caught though while away during a family reunion gathering.    So here's a shot of us all the my hubbies aunt took.

Kettle Valley Trail in Kelowna

This past weekend we went to Kelowna to do some work for me and cross off one of the adventures we had on our list of things to see in BC.    The Kettle Valley Trail to see all the tressel bridges was my list of to do.    So off we went.     It was a nice weekend.   Not too hot with some great sun.    We did a hike for about 7km and then little legs began to hurt.    It was then time to go back to the hotel with the great outdoor swimming pool and just as we were about to get on to the main road we came across a mother and her baby moose.    How awesome!!!

Elora Ontario

The kids were at camp in Elora.   So I got to explore this little town a little more.    My mom's family is from Elora the Clark's.   They had a business here in the early 1900's.    Finally I got to find the house that my mom's grandmother grew up in.   It's that big stone house and guess what it's right across from the Church.   Man couldn't get out of church back then as the whole neighbourhood could see!!   Spent some money on some nice dresses at the little shops in Elora.   It's such an great  town with lots of history.

Weather

Strange weather crept across the skies on Thursday.    Strange weather all around.    Cool and wet here in BC  and then back in Ontario as my little niece says  "Stinkin Hot!!"    It was lovely the first weeks on July when we were there before it got real hot.      So I have had some summer that many here in BC haven't yet.   I wonder what the rest of the holidays will bring?

Week Two of Ontario Visit

Week Two of family shots.    I did a lot more photos for my work this week.    But did have time to take some photos of the kids hanging out with grandpa on the baler.   Where Owen informed me that when he gets bigger he's going to drive that tractor,   and Hannah kept asking for just one more ride around.    The kids went to the African Lion Safari with Eric's parents for the day with their cousins.    Then finally daddy came for a quick weekend reunion with the Strom's side.     A busy two weeks.     But lots of fun and missing everyone now that we are back home.

Week One of Ontario Visit

This is a little summary of our first week in Ontario the family part of it.  There was much much more I took photos of both for work and pleasure.    Those will grace this blog over the next week or so.    The weather wasn't too humid and sticky like it gets usually when I am home.   We had one night were the winds picked up and a storm blew in.     The kids were in love with my mom's new kittens,  racing the bikes around the lane way,  playing with cousins,   exploring the fields and picking peas.    We got to blow bubbles,   bake pies, build castles,   swing in the swings,  wash trucks,  visit butterflies and watch all the birds that graced both grandmother's bird feeders.
It was all good!!!!!!

Oh My!!!!

For two beautiful weeks I took photos and visited family and friends.    Didn't check the internet,  download photos, or worry about being connected.     But now.......    I'm trying to catch up.    Just downloaded over 500 photos both work and personal.   The garden is just over flowing with peas, raspberries,   the beans are starting and we had a gorgeous supper of ham,  fresh potatoes,   and 4 cups of shelled peas!!!!    But I didn't even get to the probably 6 cups of sugar snap peas.     One step at a time and I still have to take some more photos the next two days.   Oh My!!!!

Joke for the day

Farmers Employees

A man owned a small farm in Australia. The Department of Industrial Relations claimed he was not paying proper wages to his help and sent an agent to interview him.
“I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them”, demanded the agent.
“Well, there’s my hired hand who’s been with me for 3 years. I pay him $600 a week plus free room and board. The cook has been here for 18 months and I pay her $500 a month plus free room and board. Then there’s the half-wit that works about 18 hours a day. I pay him $10 a week and buy him a carton of beer and smokes”, replied the farmer.
“That’s the guy I want to talk to; the half-wit”, says the agent.
The farmer says, “That would be me”.
