This isn't the most correct photo.   Or so my hubby says.   But how often to you get a shot with prey!!!   Sorry if this is a little gross.   I'm pretty sure this is a Prairie Falcon but if I'm wrong and my friend is right then it is a Peregrine Falcon.    If anyone can help us distinguish which is which and why.   Let us know.

Pigeon

While researching the breed of pigeon this is.   I was quite surprised to realize there were 308 different breeds of pigeons.    Amazing.     This is a Rock Pigeon they were domesticated in 4500BC.  These were the birds used to deliver messages to Caesar.   They were introduced to North America in the 1600's from Europe.

So this duck took me a long time to look up.  I even stumped people.   The breed originated from the wild musk ducks of South America.

He's Back

So after 14 days our cat has returned.   As you can see he seems to need to catch up on some sleep. 

Outside the Kids Market on Granville Island

Lots of Canadian Geese roaming around the pond near the kids market outdoor play ground.    They are so tame you can get up close and personal if you wanted.

There were dogs everywhere when we were strolling around Granville Island.   Some so incredible cute.  White fluffy bundles of energy.   This one was just patiently waiting for it's master to come out of the store.

Or should I say very dirty window of a car.     I was doing some errands and looked over at the car beside mine.   Wow a cat sitting on the dash board.   Owen thought it was very amusing.    I thought  interesting......
