Week 5 - Happy Holiday - 52 Weeks of Cocktails

This was Owen's first day of Kindergarten.   My first day as a childless 6 hour stay at home mom.   After getting a few things accomplished off my list.   I then thought I'd go out to lunch by myself.   I went to Bella's Cafe in Parkes,  NSW.     The Barista or coffee maker took one of my cards from my deck of 52 Cocktails and surprised me with a Happy Holiday cocktail.   It was lovely and I could have pictured myself on Day Dream Island in Qld or The Dominican Republic sipping this in a chair overlooking the water.   Instead I had a nice lunch of pumpkin and chicken bruschetta in the peace and quiet of a lovely restaurant.    I'm always keen for someone to join me so if you are ever in town look me up. 

Day 26 - Hor Frost Again

Revisiting an old photo because the day ran away from me and I couldn't find anything white.   

Day 25 - Not Fast Enough

My reflexes were a little off with this moment. 

Day 24 - What's For Dinner

I don't know about you but if I haven't got something in the mind for dinner by 3pm.  It doesn't happen.   

Day 23 - Noodles

This is the least scared bird I have met.   My friend has named it "Tude"   because it has attitude!!!!
Will just stand in the drive way and not move out of the way when they are trying to drive in.                 

Week 4 of 52 Cocktails - Guava Bliss

This is my other partner in crime in this 52 week different cocktail.    She picked Guava Bliss for us and swimming in the pool with this cocktail was bliss.   We even had our own pool boy to refill when we ran out.

Soaking away all the achy muscles after finishing the last box of unpacking.

Week 3 - 52 Weeks of Cocktails - Martini's

I hate martini's.   Love the olives.  Hate the drink. 

Day 13 - Soap

Love opening a new box of soap and being the first to use it.   New bubbles. 

Day 12- White Cockatoo

Day 11 - Staring at the Ceiling Again

Laying flat on the floor because I am so over unpacking.   Feels good just to lay flat.   White ceiling and light fixture.  That will do.  

Day 10 - 70 year old Coffee Cups

Unpacking my grandmother's coffee cups.  Set of 10 at least.   I found out they are the perfect size for under the new coffee machine.   So now we can use them and not have them in storage anymore.   Brings a smile to my face when you can use things instead of just storing them.   (Especially when I am unpacking things and complaining we have too much stuff!!!)

Week 2 - 52 Weeks of Cocktails - White Christmas

Was suppose to have white sherbert and white bubbles but...... I didn't have that in the fridge.  So it is Pink Christmas.   Much needed in the unpacking hell of my house.   All stuff from Canada is here though.

Large white bottle,  white sunscreen inside.   My life the last week.   Slip, Slop, Slap!!!

Day 1 - WHITE

The new 365 day project.   12 colours - 365 Days.   So each month I will choose a different colour and then do that colour for the whole month.   This month of January is White.   A hard one since I'm not in Canada with the snow to help me out.   Keep looking.  

52 Weeks of a Different Cocktail - Week 1

My girlfriend Sam and I came across a playing card box full of 52 cocktails.   So we are going to have a different cocktail every week 2013.   I will post on Thursdays from now on.   I was a little late this week.   Week One making the sugar syrup for the drinks.

365 days of animals.   I was torn about starting a new project or keep going with the animals.   I am starting something new but I think it is going to be quite hard not to take an animal there are so many still on my list to get!!!!!
