Day 62 - Bolar Blade Pot Roast

When we first moved to Cobar, NSW.  Our first time in Australia.   The grocery had many different names to their cuts of meat.  I usually came armed with an Australia/Canadian cuts of meat sheet to help me remember what I wanted.   One time "bolar roast" stuck out at me so I went home and googled what bolar was only to find an amazing pot roast recipe that we use all the time.

Bolar Blade Rot Roast

3lb roast
2 tbsp olive oil

125 ml beef stock
125 ml red wine
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 onion
1 garlic clove
1 bay leaf
thyme
 salt and pepper

Heat oil and sear roast.
In a crockpot/slow cooker put in the next 8 ingredients.
Set crockpot on low for 10 to 12 hours.
