When we think of our home country flag. What the key significance of it. We really don't get an ah ha moment till we ponder why. I remember living in Australia and hearing the southern cross. But until I looked up at the big open skies at night and got a little dizzy. ( it is odd looking at the sky in the southern hemisphere from the northern hemisphere's perspective) Did I really get the southern cross on the flag. Now coming home to Canada you take just a little walk anywhere and looking down you will come across thousands of single maple leaves by themselves in grass, water or snow and the maple leaf on the flag becomes the ah ha moment.
